We are delighted to announce that we have a new CEO at Theta – Steve Butler, who is already well known to us as a long-standing non-executive director. While it is disappointing that his predecessor, Mike Dakin, has decided (for understandable family reasons) to step down, we are extremely lucky that Steve has fortuitously become available, following his recent retirement as UK MD of Sogeclair Aerospace, an engineering services consultancy. Steve brings a lifetime’s experience as an aeronautical engineer in the aviation world; already knows Theta’s business inside out; and is exceptionally well qualified to take us through our current transition from research organisation to commercial enterprise.

Mike remains a significant shareholder and a non-executive director of our holding company.
