Theta Technologies Expands to North America

A crack in and additive manufactured part

UK-based Theta Technologies Ltd is proud to announce the launch of Theta Technologies Inc, marking its official expansion into the United States.

With additive manufacturing (AM) gaining momentum across the US, Theta’s cutting-edge nonlinear resonance non-destructive testing (NDT) technology is perfectly positioned to support its growth – especially in critical applications.

Unlike traditional inspection methods, nonlinear resonance NDT offers:

  • High sensitivity to flaws – even those missed by other techniques
  • Rapid testing speeds – enabling 100% population testing
  • Unparalleled Versatility – effective across complex geometries and multiple AM workflow stages

The new office in Auburn, Alabama gives North American manufacturers direct access to this transformative technology.

James Watts, CEO of Theta Technologies Ltd and President of Theta Technologies Inc, shared: “After early success in the US, it’s time to help the market access an NDT solution that can truly accelerate AM adoption. With half our target market based here, this move is essential to achieving our long-term goals.”

Theta’s flagship product, RD1-TT, is already making waves in the US, including at NCAME, where experts are excited by its cost-effective integration and powerful flaw detection capabilities.

With local support now in place, Theta aims to build a full North American supply chain to better serve the growing AM community.
